Bilikopoulos JamesBILIKOPOULOS, James (Dimitrios) - It is with broken hearts that we say goodbye to our Levendi on July20, 2021. My sweet, sweet gentle father has left us.

He immigrated to Canada from Greece at 20 years of age and God led him to my mother in Port Arthur. A true love story.

Over their 66 years of marriage They built a beautiful life and family.

They worked, lived and played together 24/7 for their entire marriage. Not many couples can survive being so close. They couldn’t survive not being.

My father came from humble beginnings from Nea Palatia Oropos Greece. He along with many others left their home and family to come to Canada for a better life. He started his first restaurant with his new bride in Port Arthur called Do Drop In.

Together he and my mom were an amazing team. They came to Toronto their second restaurant being 111 Restaurant with 4 partners. They helped many immigrant Greeks with work over their years at their restaurant and were well known within the Greek community.

Over their years they made many friends and became family with our church members at St. George Greek Orthodox Church. My father was a pillar of our Church. Everyone loved him and he spent many years cooking for so many. My father was truly blessed and had a wonderful life with my mom.

He will be greatly missed by all. He is now with my brother Nick and many of our family. We are at peace knowing they are all together and are waiting for to see us again one day. He is survived by my mom, myself and my husband Shaun. Grandchildren Ashley and John-Paul and great grandchildren Angelia Matteo and Anthony. My brothers family Candy, daughter Chrissy and his granddaughter Aubree (Nikoletta).

Visitation will be held at St. George's Greek Orthodox Church on Friday, July 23, 2021 from 5-8 pm. A funeral service will be held in the church the following day at 11 am. Interment to follow.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. George's Greek Orthodox Church (115 Bond Street Toronto, ON) in memory of James Bilikopoulos.
