King KarenKING, Karen Christina Mary - 57, returned to her heavenly home on July 28, 2021, after a hard-fought battle with cancer.

Karen’s devotion to her family and her unyielding faith in God supported her in her struggle and ultimately gave her peace.

Karen will be remembered for her positive outlook, infectious laughter, determination, and her faith in the midst of difficult times throughout her life.

Karen was born on July 10, 1964, in Toronto, the third child of Bruce and Christina King.

She is survived by her mother, Christina; sister, Debbie (Steve); brothers John (Luisa) and David (Wendy); and her loving nieces and nephews: Natasha (Karlson), Evan, Alicia, Michael, Gabrielle, Nathaniel, Katie, Olivia, and Ella.

Karen is predeceased by her father, Bruce, who passed away in 1999.

Karen met and overcame many setbacks head-on and lived a rich and vibrant life. Throughout her personal challenges, Karen fought hard not to be deterred in her desire to live life to the fullest.

Graduating from Seneca College and working at OPG until retirement, Karen worked hard to own her own home and was a support to her family, especially her mom, Christina, throughout her life.

When Karen retired, she devoted her time to family and friends, relaxing with mom, gardening, and shopping with her best friend Kathy.

This past year as Karen experienced several health struggles, her faith brought her an unquestionable peace, and though she will be sorely missed, we know that she is home.
