Koutsaris IreneKOUTSARIS, Irene (Nikolaros) - Passed away July 27, 2021 with her sons by her side.

Devoted wife of her husband Harry, who predeceased her.

Mother of Louis (Christina) and Sam (Peggy).

She adored her grandchildren, Bobby (Katherine), Irene, Alky (Sarina), Demetri, and Melissa, as well as her great-grandson, Ryan, who made her smile and laugh.

Irene was the eldest of five siblings, four of whom predeceased her: Chris, Jerry (Penny) and Gianoula.

Survived by brother Nontas.

She also leaves behind many nephews, nieces, great-nephews and great-nieces, from two large families of the Koutsaris and Nikolaros clan.

She was especially thankful for all her friends, who were like an extended family, and who gave her reasons to look forward to every new day.

Irene will always be remembered by her family and friends as kind, gentle, respectful and accepting. She has bestowed this legacy upon her children, grandchildren and great-grandchild to honour and continue.

Family and friends will be received at Heritage Funeral Centre, Toronto on Friday July 30, 2021. A funeral service will be held at St. John Greek Orthodox Church, 1385 Warden Ave., Scarborough, ON at 10:00 am on Saturday July 31, 2021. Internment to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation and to North York General Hospital’s Emergency Department.
