BIRD, Joan - 1934 - 2021 Joan died on July 20, 2021.
Joan loved: spending time with her family, especially her 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; relaxing at the cottage with Doug.
Hiking around the world in Nepal, Malta, Scotland, the Canadian Rockies, Madeira, Crete, Tuscany, Slovenia, the Channel Islands, and of course on the Bruce Trail (and if we can have a little dementia humour, we can confirm that she did not climb Mt. Everest in Nepal).
Playing tennis 3 times a week with her many tennis friends; playing the piano; walking around her longtime Fletcher Place neighbourhood, where so many neighbours loved and cared for her; dancing in the kitchen with Cherraine, who helped her live at home for as long as possible.
A life well-lived!
