COWEN, Brian Henry - Surrounded by the love of his family, Brian (July 26, 1941 — September 11, 2021) passed away on Saturday, September 11, 2021 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Brian was a cherished husband, father and friend to so many in the Richmond Hill community.
He was often a man of few words but his kindness was deafening. He had a quiet dignity about him and valued kindness, hard work and family.
He also appreciated the simple things, jelly beans, butter tarts and playing along with jeopardy.
Brian devoted himself to his loving wife Stella, and children, Celine Houser, Renee Stacey, and Danielle Van Duzer, as well as his eight grandchildren and extended family.
The Cowen family would like to thank Brian’s care team, in particular Dr. Berger, as well as the wonderful nurses, personal support workers and staff at Hill House Hospice.
The family will hold a private celebration of life at a later date.
