Arellano AnacoritaARELLANO, Anacorita Alanguilan - Our beloved Nanay passed away peacefully resting in her bed on Friday, September 10, 2021 at Kipling Acres Nursing Home.

She was an extremely strong woman and that is thanks to her long-standing relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. Despite her failing health her love for her family and strength from the Lord kept her with us until she reached 92 years of age.

She was someone who wanted to live a long life for her family and thank the Lord that she did.

She was big on birthdays and was someone who never forgot a birthday. She loved blowing out her birthday candles and we can be thankful she was able to do that one more time in the week before her passing.

She had gentle eyes, but in recent years they were weary, thank the Lord for His mercy on her in giving her the rest that she needed.

Anacorita was born on Sept 1st 1929 in San Pablo, Laguna to Lucio Alanguilan and Juliana Dumaraos Alanguilan. In the Philippines she was known for not only her beauty but as an A+ student in school. She was a determined, smart, honest, hard working and an independent woman with integrity in business and at home with her family. She enjoyed attending church service, caring for her plants and in her earlier years enjoyed working, reading, exercising and socializing with her friends.

Anacorita was preceded in death by her husband Narciso Arellano and son’s Edgardo Arellano (Edward, Edmund, Allan, Deanne), Danilo Arellano (Jason, Marie Chayro) and Jeffrey Arellano.
She was survived by her children Cesar Arellano (Cezmar, Brandon, Mark), Estella Churchward (Lindsay, Leanne, Ryan), Elizabeth Smith (Christine, Christopher), Aurora Bariring (Sherene), and Socorro Payler (Jennifer, Jackielyn, Jamie). She had several grandchildren (named above) and great grandchildren all of which she was very proud of.

She had a beautiful smile and especially cute with the gold inlay she had in her teeth. Her smile made us all feel so good inside and we will always be grateful for that. It’s sad that her smile is gone from this earth, but so comforting to know that she’s still smiling and in a much better, glorious and happier place. She would have wanted nothing more than to worship the Lord all the days of her life.

For all of you who knew and loved Nanay, know that she loved you too. She spent most of her days praying for all her loved ones, she will be missed by many. Let the happy memories of her continue to live in all of our hearts until we meet again.

Arrangements are entrusted with Newediuk funeral home, Kipling chapel.
In lieu of flowers, please send plants.

During these times, one of the last gifts she was given was an audio bible as she could no longer see well to read. She was so happy, she said she didn’t need to eat food or drink anymore because she had food from the Word of God.

“And Jesus said to them, ‘I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.’ “ (John 6:35)

May her soul rest in eternal peace.
