JONES, Gina - Our beautiful, fiesty, wise friend Gina passed peacefully into God’s eternal Presence in the early morning of September 12, 2021.
Gina’s was a life of service. She immigrated to Canada following a career as a midwife in England & Wales, and worked for many years in Alberta, Montreal, and latterly Toronto as a psychiatric nurse.
From that experience she was recruited to work with seniors in their homes in Toronto’s Danforth area and North York. She was a gifted and strong advocate for the elderly, and for many other Justice movements, and a Master gardener with a very “green thumb”.
She lived for many years in the OWN coop, until her final year spent at Castleview Wychwood Towers, where she was well cared for by caring staff.
Her wish was to be cremated, and to have a celebration of life with close friends, which will be planned when we are once again able to gather.
