Goldenberg AvivaGOLDENBERG, Aviva Claire (Abramovici) - Passed away early on the morning of September 22, 2021.

Her wonderful life was difficult for the past few years, as she dealt with serious illness. Still the family rallied around her, and she took joy and comfort in our closeness.

We take comfort in knowing that she is now fully at peace.

Aviva was born in Bacau, Romania, in 1946, the daughter of Joseph and Edith Abramovici. The family immigrated to Tel Aviv, Israel in 1957.

While studying architecture at Technion University, she met her husband, Andrew (Avi), and they began a beautiful romance and love that remained strong until her passing.

They moved to Toronto, Canada in 1972 in what was supposed to be a short 4-year stay.

Instead they found place in the new city and remained here, where Aviva became a successful architect and an instructor at Centennial College, a good friend to many, and mother to twin girls, Maya and Keren, who loved her, were loved, and consider her a role model in their adult lives.

Aviva is survived by her husband, Andrew, her mother, Edith, her children, Maya and Keren, and their spouses, Gideon and Laura. She is extremely loved and will be missed by us all, especially her grandchildren, Talia, Noa, and Lev. Our hearts are full of love, loss, and memories of an exceptional woman. Zichrona Livracha.

A Family graveside service will be held on Friday, September 24, 2021.

Instead of flowers, please consider donations in Aviva's name to Jewish and Child Family Services 416-638-7800.
