Murray MaryMURRAY, Mary Teresa (nee Enright) - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Murray (nee Enright) at her Bramalea Retirement Residence on Sunday September 19th, 2021.

Mary passed peacefully surrounded by family, in the arms of her daughter Lynne. She was sustained by her deep Catholic faith providing heaven with a new angel.

Predeceased by her loving husband Lloyd and her 10 brothers and sisters, most recently by her beloved sister Bernadette, Mary was the last of her siblings.

Mary was born in Parkdale, grew-up in Long Branch, and spent many years in Brampton. Our Mother loved to swim in Lake Ontario, skate, paint, draw, knit, garden, and sing. As children she would call us for dinner with a yodel that carried for miles. She was an expert at wrapping up the most complicated concepts into neat and precise one-liners with witty Irish precision.

She had a sharp mind to the end, even as her body began to fail her. Mom used to hide packages in the washing machine (the one place she knew Father would never look) so that she was never without a selection of sweets and snacks to offer to anyone who would visit.

Mary is survived by her daughter Lynne (Paul Ryan), her sons, Garry (Carol) and Barry (Laurie), 7 grandchildren, Nicole, Shannon, Jamie, Kate, Lauren, Mitchell and Maya, in-laws, Sherrill Enright, Margaret Enright, Alma Elliott, and Gerry and Peggy Green, nieces and nephew, and great nieces and great nephews. Mother had such a strong sense of family which resulted in close relationships with her many nieces and nephews.

She will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her and those she loved. The family would also like to thank Dr. Omar Elahi and all the staff at Bramalea retirement residence for providing such loving care and support to the end.

Arrangements are entrusted with Scott funeral home, Brampton chapel.

In lieu of flowers, donations in loving memory of Mary may be made to St. John Fisher Roman Catholic Church would be appreciated by the family.
