SAFER, Jay - On Thursday September 23, 2021.
Jay Safer, beloved husband of Elaine. Loving father and father-in-law of Josh, David & Faren, and Jordan & Alex. Legendary Zaid of Zev, Jonah, Lielle, and Ari.
Devoted brother to Barb & Mark, Ros & the late Uncle D and Ellen, and dear brother-in-law to Frank & Marilyn, and Barbara & Jeff.
Jay had an outstanding and long career as corporate counsel for IBM. He was admired and appreciated by all of his colleagues and friends. For years he was also the President and backbone of the Stashover-Slipia Congregation.
Jay was the definition of a mensch. He was warm, considerate and always wanting to celebrate (with scotch for a l’chaim). This warmth was the catalyst and foundation of many deep bonds with friends in the community. He enjoyed life to the fullest and had a tremendous and positive impact on so many people. His greatest joy was his family.
