Predeceased by parents Margaret and Dr. Maurice O'Connor, sister Marie Webb (William), nephews Michael and Gary and beloved best friend Rea McGarry.
Uncle to Joanne (Lon) and Carolyn (Kevin).
Great-uncle to Karli (Nick), Haley, and Bryan.
Loved by the Fraser family, John, Marg, John Paul (deceased), James, Jordan and Nicole.
Maurice was born May 4, 1930 in Detroit, Michigan.
He graduated De La Salle High School and the Ohio College of Podiatry.
He followed in his father's footsteps working at the O'Connor Foot Clinic.
Maurice was a devout Catholic and a member of St. Margaret of Scotland Catholic Church.
For many years it was his privilege to open the church, ready it for parishioners, introduce readings and close up after services.
A private funeral will be held to celebrate Maurice's life on Friday, October 1, 2021.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to Operation Smile Canada would be appreciated.
