JACK, W. Leslie - September 25, 1934, to October 9, 2021

Beloved husband, dad, grandfather, uncle, JD Smith driver, Kingsview Chess Club founder, world traveler. Native of Ardstraw, Ireland, and childhood donkey owner.

Adventured for 64 years with your sweetheart, Fran, to Grafton and southward as a snowbird camper and bird watcher. Recently aka “Jack.” Known for the bluest eyes. Irish eyes that smiled. And twinkled with mischief.

You laughed with your whole body. Loved with your whole heart. Charted your own course through life, full of plans. You built your own house (and cottage and furniture). You built our world.

You had a kind word and smile for all passersby, especially little kids and dogs. Tried to help whoever you could along the way. You made the most of the worst disease. For so many years. Popeye strong. You kept the peace.

Those left behind will miss you always. Our wild colonial boy.

Les is survived by wife, Frances, daughters Elaine and Lee-Anne, son-in-law Dexter, grandson Andrew, and sisters- and brothers-in-law and nieces and nephews in Ontario and Ireland.
