Calpito LucitaCALPITO, Lucita Lomboy - With profound sadness, we announce the passing of our loving and devoted mother, Lucita Lomboy Calpito.

She was home and with her family by her side, left us peacefully October 12, 2021.

She was 79.

Lucita was born to the late Severino and Esperanza Lomboy, June 4th 1942, in Naguilan, La Union, Philippines. She is the 3rd of 13 children.

She married the late Maj. Jose Calpito Sr. in 1969.

Lucita is survived by her three children and their spouses: Marijol with husband Richard, Alex with wife Ruby and Cynthia with husband Allan.

She is also survived by her grandchildren: Andrew, Aaron, Chiara, Rylee and Alden.  All of them she loved and touched deeply.

Lucita, also known as Lucy or Luz, was Mom, Lola, Manang and Auntie to her family.

She was a devout Catholic, a caring mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

She was strong willed and resilient yet very kind, thoughtful and generous.  She enjoyed her sweets and had a knack of a green thumb specifically growing orchids.  She enjoyed her travels, camping, get-togethers and cooking for the family.  Most of all she loved caring and spending time with her grandkids.

Visitation will be held at the Highland Funeral Home, Scarborough, this coming Thursday, October 14th from 8:00AM EDT until 9:30AM EDT.  Visitation will be followed with a procession to The Epiphany of our Lord Parish, 3200 Pharmacy Avenue, Scarborough, where a mass service has been arranged to begin at 10:00AM EDT.  Procession to the burial place will commence right after.

If you wish, your thoughtfulness will be recognized when you honour our Mom, Lucita Lomboy Calpito, by sending to the Kidney Foundation.
