DSouza LevitaD'SOUZA, Levita - On October 13, 2021, Levita passed away peacefully in her sleep. She was 93 years old.

Born December 18, 1927, in Aldona, Goa, India, Levita was an avid member of the arts community spending much of her youth painting, embroidering, and performing in theatre productions.

Levita would eventually move to Mumbai, India, where she married the late Joseph D’Souza.  She worked tirelessly to provide for her four children with every opportunity she could.  Despite her large family, Levita always made time for others. She was a pillar of her community and a strong advocate for children's education rights.

In her later years, Levita would immigrate to Brampton, Ontario, Canada, where she spent her last years enjoying nature and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.  Her lifelong dedication to healthy living is an ongoing source of inspiration to her family.

Levita was predeceased by her husband of 24 years.  She is survived by her four children (Cynthia, Priscilla, Monica, and Jason), six grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

The visitation will take place on Monday, October 18, 2021, between 10 am and 11 am followed by the funeral service at the Brampton Funeral Home and Cemetery.  COVID-19 Restrictions apply.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Down Syndrome Association of Toronto in her memory.
