Fanning MargaretFANNING, Margaret Isabelle "Peggy" (nee DUNCAN)   - July 30, 1934 - October 5, 2021

Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 surrounded by her family.

Beloved wife of the late David Ross Fanning (deceased 2014). Loving mother of Duncan (Ian Beck), Trent, and Jane (Ged Hague).

Proud grandmother of Jack Fanning Hague. Survived by her sister Helen Lyon and brother Howard Duncan (Sylvia) as well as her many nieces and nephews.

Peggy lived a life full of variety. Born and raised in Dundalk, Ontario on a family farm with 12 siblings where goods times were had by all. From farm life she moved to Toronto and entered Bruno's Hair Dresser academy.

Peggy worked as a hairdresser in downtown Toronto's hustle and bustle, until she met David the love of her life and began her family. After raising 3 children, Peggy opened her own business, "Peggy's Patio" selling outdoor furniture, with locations in Durham and Peterborough.

She enjoyed life to the fullest especially at Stony Lake and the Bethany Ski Club. Without a doubt Peggy was an inspiration.

Her kind and generous heart will be greatly missed and her memory will be forever cherished.

We will be forever grateful to her personal caregiver Marilyn Young who took good care of her and showed great compassion and understanding. The family would also like to extend a sincere thank you to all the staff at Fairhaven.

In keeping with Peggy's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at Little Lake Cemetery.

In memory of Peggy, donations may be made to the Canadian Breast Cancer Network.
