McCurdy PeterMCCURDY, Peter James - Mississauga, Ontario. June 18 1939 to October 16, 2021.

It is with broken hearts that we advise of the passing of Peter (Pete) McCurdy.

Father, mentor and coach to Joanne, Jim (Maryann) and Jackie.

Grandfather to Jodi (Tristan) and Trevor (Erin) and Great-Grandfather to Kale and Kaya.

Pete is pre-deceased by his wife, Carol (nee Collier), and partner, Norma Diaz, his parents Jim & Barbara and his brothers David, Patrick and Donald.

He will be missed dearly by all his brothers and sisters (McCurdy & Collier), nieces and nephews, god-daughters Allison and Ann and god-son, Freddy.

Pete touched the community as a coach for Cawthra Baseball and the PWSA, and as an active member of Port Credit Legion (Branch 82). He was Owner and President of Air Velocities Control Ltd., since 1966. He loved to golf and passionately followed horse racing, the professional golf circuit and Major League Baseball.

Pete lived life to it’s fullest. Uncompromisingly, with eyes and heart wide open.

Let your best be for your family. If your family must know the ebb of your tide, let them know it’s flood also. - Gibran

Please join his family and friends at 2:00pm on Monday, October 25, 2021 for an outdoor graveside service where all are welcome at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens (2700 Kingston Road, Scarborough, Section H) for a Committal Service followed by the eulogy. Friends and family will be invited to share their memories. A small reception dinner will follow for immediate family only.
