SKANDALAKIS, John - September 15, 1927 - October 18, 2021. Peacefully surrounded by his family, John passed away at the age of 94.
Loving husband of over 60 years to his dear wife, Irene and devoted father to George (Argyro) and Christine (George).
He was also a proud and devoted grandfather to Ireena, Anna, Yianna, Yianni (Lenny) and Ireena (Kimon) and to great-granddaughter Ariadne.
John’s early life was marked by challenges contributing to the development of a strong spirit infused with great energy and conviction. His life was filled with many successes and accomplishments without compromising his kindness and generosity toward everyone in his life. He was admired by the lives he touched.
His love for his beautiful birthplace of Crete, adopted home Canada, music and dance were part of his life, but most of all he loved being surrounded by family and friends. He will be missed greatly and fondly remembered by his family in Greece and Canada.
Visitation will be held at St. John's Dixie Visitation Centre, Mississauga on Thursday October 21, 2021 from 6:00pm - 9:00pm. The funeral mass will take place at Greek Orthodox Church of Prophet Elias, 1785 Matheson Blvd., Mississauga on Friday October 22, 2021 at 10:00am.
