DI CARLO, Marina Stella - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Marina on Monday, October 18, 2021.

A daughter to Antonietta & Benito (deceased), a mother to Benjamin & Megan McCartney, and a sister to Daniel (Lilli).

She is lovingly remembered by her nieces and nephews, extended family, friends, and community.

Marina dedicated her life to her family and community.

A devoted follower and advocate of the church, Marina loved to spend her time supporting others and volunteering at local charities.

With an eye for design, Marina was always committed to ensuring a space looked its best, down to the smallest of details. She believed love and kindness was shown through actions, and dedicated her time doing the small things to show people she cared.

Megan and Benjamin will forever remember their mother singing in the kitchen, filled with joy as she cooked a feast for them and their friends (always too much food). There were few things in life that brought her more joy than cooking for others, except perhaps a Sandra Bullock romantic comedy.

Marina had a group of incredible, lifelong friends. The family would like to send their love and thanks to all her friends, who were always there to support her.

A lover of music and dance, we know that Marina is up in Heaven finally getting her chance to have a dance with her Dad, Benito.

Visitation will be held at Bernardo Funeral Homes, Dufferin Chapel, Toronto on Sunday, October 24th, 2021. the service will take place at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 811 Lawrence Avenue West, Toronto on Monday, October 25th, 2021 at 9:30am

In accordance with Marina’s wishes the family asks that, in lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Canadian Food for Children or arrange to have a mass said for Marina at your local parish.
