VON HOLSTEIN-RATHLOU, Harold - Peacefully, at 101 years of age, on Saturday, October 16, 2021, Mississauga.
Harold was a Second WW Veteran, teacher, author, philosopher, and musician who truly believed in the goodness of mankind.
Beloved husband of Barbara von Holstein-Rathlou (nee Walden).
Predeceased by his first wife Viola Blanche Brown, mother of his children Stephen, Nancy, Pamela, Michael, and Suzanne (m. Crawford) Rathlou.
Predeceased by wife Marion Walker (nee Epworth) and sons David and William; stepfather of Gordon, Douglas, Rauni (m. Tsuyuki) and the late Christine Brown.
He left a legacy of 17 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held in Scarborough on Saturday, October 23, 2021, at 1:30pm.
Harold had requested that any donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada.
