Dinis CarlDINIS, Carlos (Carl) - It is with a heavy heart that we announce the sudden passing of our loving Carlos, 59 years old, of Toronto, Ontario (Canada), who died unexpectedly on October 15, 2021, after a fatal car accident.

We are devasted by this loss and deeply saddened.

Born on February 14, 1962 to his loving parents Clarisse and Cipriano Dinis in a small town in Caldas da Rainha, Portugal. Their “Carlitos”, immediately filled their lives with joy.

Soon after, in 1967 the family moved to Canada. Later, Carlos went on to have a successful career at CP Rail, DHL and Loomis in the transport business.

He was a loving man who always inspired and motivated others to be the best version of themselves. He was a dreamer, who had goals and plans to travel the world. He traveled back to his homeland whenever possible with his family.

Carl was a true lover of life. He was a man who kept his guard down and enjoyed having a good conversation with anyone. He was counting his days to retirement and planning out his motorcycle adventure from Morocco to his hometown.

Carlos is predeceased by his parents Clarisse and Cipriano.

He is survived by his loving wife Janice, his three strong sons, Bryan, Bradley and Brendan, as well as his sister, Michelle and her son Andrew (Jenna), and his father-in-law Colin, his sister-in-law Joanne, and her children Andrew (Ashley) and Michael, his brother-in-law Colin (Karen) and their children Connor and Melanee.

He was a good man and his presence is already sorely missed, and his loss is deeply felt by his family, cousins, extended family, and of course his friends and colleagues.

At his request, he will be cremated and keep to a very simple visitation for those who wish to pay their respects and say their goodbyes. This will take place Sunday, October 24, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Bernardo Funeral Homes, Dufferin Chapel, Toronto.
