Barker BerylBARKER, Beryl Ida   -   April 15, 1927 - October 11, 2021

It is with deep sadness that our family announce the passing of our beloved mother, Beryl Barker, on October 11, 2021.

It was somehow fitting that she passed on Thanksgiving Monday, as it will forever conjure up memories of our yearly trips to the cottage for Thanksgiving dinner, and the rousing Yahtzee games that she mysteriously always won.

Beryl was the cherished wife of Ted (deceased), loving sister to Iris and Eric (deceased), and especially beloved twin to Daisy (deceased).

She was a cherished and adored mother to Jeff (Monica), Janet (John), and Linda (Ken).

She was a much loved and cuddled grandmother to her grandchildren, Kevin (Kelsey), Tim (Karen), Matthew (Ilana), Angela, Jeff (Karin), Adam (Marci), and Natalie, as well as great-grandchildren, Astrid, Noah and Layla.

Mom was a woman of simple pleasures. She loved a good cup of coffee, watching team sports, British television dramas, a good book, singing, and, of course, dancing with her walker in tow.

Everyone who met her were instantly enchanted with her love of life, her sunny disposition, and her bountiful laugh.

Although we will miss her terribly, the ravages of Alzheimer's and heart disease had dramatically reduced her quality of life, and we are comforted that she still managed to live a life of happiness and optimism.
