LEISTNER, Eberhard - March 27, 1939 - October 20, 2021
Beloved brother, uncle, and friend.
Following a struggle with his health, he died peacefully at home in Toronto.
Eberhard was born in the village of Stützengrün, Germany and was the youngest of 12 siblings.
At the age of 18 he escaped from East Germany with the hope of living in the Alps.
Unable to find work in the mountains, he decided to join his brothers Herbert, Walter and Volkmar (Henry) in Canada at the family tool making business.
Eberhard was a fun and adventurous individual who enjoyed travelling, off- roading, skiing, sailing, and flying.
He will be missed by all of his family and friend.
