Heffering LindaHEFFERING, Linda Darlene - It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Linda Darlene Heffering on October 24, 2021. Linda passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family and friends.

Linda Darlene Heffering was born August 13, 1952 in Toronto, and was raised in Whitby, Ontario.

Daughter of the late Stella and Robert (Bob) Gibson and daughter of Carol Roberts. Beloved sister of Don (Beate), Blair (Henny), Richard (Debbie), Nancy (Tom), Julie, Greg (Karin). Fondly remembered aunt and great-aunt of many nieces and nephews.

Linda is survived by her husband, the love of her life, Doug McNeil. Doug adored her and the home she created with her unique warmth and loving style. Linda is the beloved mother of Justin (Jess), and Lee (Chantal). She is grandmother “Mimi” to her three very cherished grandchildren Ava, Kyrie, and Liam, and an additional blessing due in January 2022.

Linda will be forever missed along with her creativity, expert repurposing skills, compassion for all, loving ways, and quirky sense of humour that everyone who knew her, had the pleasure of experiencing.

Arrangements are entrusted with Giffen-Mack funeral home, Danforth chapel. A Celebration of Life for Linda will be held at a later date for all her family and dedicated lifelong friends Nancy, Linda, Stephanie, Joanna and Catherine.

Instead of sending flowers please do something kind for someone in memory of Linda. Charitable donations can be made to your local food bank.
