McAlpine FionaMCALPINE, Fiona - 77, of Stouffville, passed away at home October 22, 2021, with her family by her side.

Fiona was born to the late Peter and Marjorie Berry, May 21, 1944, in Barnstable, England.

She attended Shaw’s Business School to take her Secretarial Training, but her greatest work was that of being such a loving mother and wife to our very lucky family.

She married John McAlpine on June 17, 1967, and they lived together in Toronto before moving to Bracebridge and then Stouffville.

She was preceded in death by her brother Bruce.

Fiona is survived by her husband John and her two sons, Grant (Melanie) of Toronto, and Stephen (Francilla) of Stouffville.

She is also survived by her three beloved grandchildren: Kaylah, Nicholas and Noah.

Fiona devoted her life to her family and friends. She took the time to listen, ask questions and always had the answers when needed. She had a passion and talent for creating unique pieces of stained glass and she loved being outside in her garden. Her dogs were treated with such love and adoration. She put so much effort into caring for others, and this truly made her happy.

Your Hug Meant the World
Nobody else held me so tight
Or made me feel so right
No one’s eyes shined so bright with love
As my mom, who is now high above
-Tamsen Butler

A celebration of Fiona’s life will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate a donation in her honour to one of two charities.
