GARRETT, Clara Bernadette   -  1925 - 2021  It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Clara Garrett (née McInnis), peacefully in her sleep at home (North York) on October 15, 2021, at the age of 96.

Clara was predeceased by her beloved husband Joseph Ernest Garrett (February 15, 2020) and 10 of her siblings - David (Sonny), Ambrose, Eileen, Veronica (Ron), Margaret (Peggy), Mary, Leo, Jerome (Jerry), Alex (Sandy), and John.

Clara is survived by her sister Catherine Stewart, by her two sons, Michael and John, and 9 grandchildren - Michelle (Buttignol), Vanessa (Andrews), Daniel, Andrew, Laura, Rose, Keith, Maxwell, Scott.

Clara was happily married to her husband for 73 years and was a wonderful loving mother and grandmother.

Clara was born in London growing up in an old farm house on Kipps Lane on the outskirts of London (Ontario) with her parents Ida (Flanagan) and David McInnis, and 11 siblings.

Here she met her husband, raised her two sons and was also a well-respected bookkeeper. She was very active in her church and generously devoted much of her time to care for those who were ill. She loved baking and her home was always full of delicious treats.

Later in life, she and Joseph followed their sons to Toronto, Ontario where they lived out their years.

Clara will be forever loved, missed and remembered by her family, friends and extended family of many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held in the Spring of 2022.
