LE DONNE, Nella - On Monday, November 15, 2021, our mother Nella passed away peacefully at Baycrest Palliative Care with her loving family by her side.
Predeceased by her husband Edmondo (2015), she is survived by her children, Lucy (Bruno), Gloria (John), Mary, Nick (Julie), her grandchildren, Raffaele, Luca, Lisa, Sara, Jordan, Andie, Devyn and great-grandchildren, Paolo, Gemma, Michela, Olivia, Alyssa, Gian Paolo and Mattia, of whom she was very proud. We will all dearly miss our mother.
Nella was a woman of immense strength, courage, determination, kindness and unconditional love. She was greatly admired and loved by all.
Thanks to the Temmy Latner Centre/St. Elizabeth Health Care doctors and nurses for their special home care support and to the outstanding Baycrest Palliative care team.
A special thanks to her long time PSW Maria Jaramillo who went above and beyond her role.
Visitation will be held at Bernardo Funeral Home, 2960 Dufferin Street, on November 18, 2021 from 2:00-4:30 and 6:00-8:00 p.m. A funeral mass will be held on November 19, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Charles Catholic Church (Dufferin/Lawrence). Burial will follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to one of Nella's favourite charities: Operation Smile, Baycrest Foundation, Sick Children's Hospital, or Covenant House.
