BARTNIK, Kazue "Kay" (nee Koyanagi) Bartnik - Aged 99, beloved wife of the late Walter Bartnik, passed away peacefully on the evening of November 24, 2021 at Ian Anderson House.
Born in Terra Nova, BC on September 27, 1922, Kazue was predeceased by her brothers Hiroyuki, Yukio (late Kazue) and Hiroshi and sisters Fujiko, Ichiye, Matsuyo Kawano (late Katsumi), twin sister Tsugie Nakashima (late Sadao), and Tsuruye Nishino (late Richard).
She is survived by many nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
Kazue was a devout Christian, who cherished her family and friends.
Thank you to the staff at Vistamere Retirement Residence for the care and support provided over the past several years, and to the staff and volunteers at Ian Anderson House for the wonderful care given to Kazue in her final days.
There will be a funeral service for Kazue on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at 3:30 p.m. with a visitation one hour prior at Glen Oaks Funeral Home, Oakville. We kindly ask that you register for the visitation and service. At the family's request, all guests must be double vaccinated and show proof of vaccination upon entering the building.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Ian Anderson House (430 Winston Churchill Blvd., Oakville) would be greatly appreciated.
