St.Onge Martignago MoniqueST. ONGE-MARTIGNAGO, Monique Alice - At age 65, died peacefully in hospital on November 22, 2021 after a long and courageous battle with many health issues.

Monique was born on May 3rd, 1956 in Timmins, ON. to Laurette Perrault & Roland St.Onge. She was the second youngest of nine children. Monique recently retired after dedicating over 25 years of hard work to Crestwood School which she took pride in, lived for and was very saddened to see it end.

Monique was predeceased by her loving husband Gino Martignago Sr. who passed July 9th, 1991 and her best friend Irene Andrighetti who passed December 22nd, 2010.

Monique is survived by her two beloved children Gina Blandizzi nee Martignago, Son-in-law Corrado Blandizzi, her son Gino Martignago Jr. and his wife Amanda Martignago.

She also leaves behind four beloved grandchildren whom she cherished deeply; Olivia Blandizzi, Adriana Martignago, Kayla Mollins-Martignago and Matteo Martignago as well as numerous others who loved her dearly.

Besides her dedication and passion for her work Monique dedicated and loved spending all of her time with her family. She was loving, caring and compassionate and nothing brought her more joy than being surrounded by her children, grandchildren and friends.

She was extremely strong willed, focused and the definition of respect and loyalty with a gorgeous smile, huge heart and love for life. She was beyond generous and left a large imprint on everyone’s heart who was blessed enough to know her.

Arrangements for a Celebration of Life Memorial Gathering are entrusted with Delmoro Funeral Home.

In Lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Sick Kids Hospital, which is a cause she held very close to her heart as her grandson Matteo Martignago courageously battled cancer and won with the help and care of Sick Kids.
