Bruce died peacefully, on November 29, 2021, at PeopleCare Hilltop Manor, Cambridge, Ontario, at age 65, from complications of Korsakoff's Syndrome.

Bruce was the beloved son of Beverley, and the late John.

He was the younger brother of Robert Douglas. Predeceased by grandparents Wally and Adele Bromby, and great-aunts Kate and Thelma Rowlison. He was the father of the late Brian, of Hamilton, and Kendell, of Kitchener.

A private, family service was held on Thursday, December 2, 2021. The Reverend Dr. Walter Hannam, Vicar, St. Bartholomew's Anglican Church, Toronto, conducted the service. Cremation followed in  Etobicoke.

Born in Toronto, Bruce was a car enthusiast, and also a drummer. A certified prosthetist, Bruce owned Innovative Prosthetics Inc. of Woodstock, Ontario.

He made artificial limbs almost exclusively for children from southwestern Ontario. Bruce was most proud of making prostheses so the children could participate in sports.

His office was filled with photos of children with their new prosthesis happily participating in almost every sport! He will be missed.
