Sidhu AjaibSIDHU, S. Ajaib Singh   -  November 11, 1938 – January 8, 2022

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ajaib Singh Sidhu. Ajaib Singh, 84, passed away peacefully, on January 8, 2022, in Brampton, Ontario.

Ajaib was surrounded by his loving family during his final moments of life.

Ajaib Singh was born on November 11, 1938, in Abbuwal, Punjab, India.

He was the eldest of five children, three sisters and one brother.

Ajaib Singh exuded hard work, strong character and unwavering faith in God.

These traits were seen throughout his entire life – from his early beginnings working various labour jobs on the family farm to his arranged marriage to the late Manjeet Kaur ji in 1964.

In July of 1965, Aijab Singh was blessed to become a father with his wife giving birth to their first and eldest son, Gursharn Singh.

He became a father of two in 1968 when his second son, Hardeep Singh was born.

In 1981, Ajaib Singh moved to Toronto, Canada, to seek a new and better life for his family.

He provided for his family by becoming a taxi driver in 1982, aspiring to start his own business one day. This came to fruition in 1985, when he started his own company Dasmesh Transport.

After the sudden death of his wife (Manjeet Kaur ji ) in January 2006, Ajaib Singh was given the blessing from a high priest, Baba Gurdev Singh Ji, to devote his life to teaching at a Sikh Gurdwara in Houston, Texas (US).

He became an important part of the Punjabi-Sikh community within Houston by teaching young kids and elders Gurmakhi.

Ajaib Singh was a wonderful father to Gursharn Sidhu and Hardeep Sidhu.

A wonderful father-in-law to Raman Sidhu and Kulwinder Sidhu.

A loving grandfather to six, Puneet Sidhu, Neenu Sidhu, Gagan Sidhu, Jaideep Sidhu, Gurpreet Sidhu, Aman Sidhu and Karan Sidhu and great-grandfather to two Keerit and Arjun.

Family and loved ones are left with many beautiful and cherished memories that will forever live on with them. He enjoyed life, family members and many friends.

He was always there to brighten the lives of others.

The legacy of Ajaib Singh's spirit and selfless service will live on through his family and friends.
