Johnson LarryJOHNSON, Larry Earl   -  Earl Johnson passed peacefully at the age of 76 years into eternal life on Tuesday, January 4, 2022, following an unexpected catastrophic medical event.

He is survived by the love of his life of over 50 years - his wife Millie, his children Carolyn (Brian) and Beth, brother Michael (Dafi) and family, and extended family.

Larry will be remembered as a caring person who loved spending time with his family and friends.

He enjoyed making people laugh, the outdoors, cars, history, fixing things, cooking, 1950s music, reading, and his quiet Christian faith.

Larry was very hardworking and enjoyed helping others.

A lifelong fan of the City of Toronto. He brought his skilled trade of Sheet Metal Worker to the building of the cityscape.

Including, but not limited to: the SkyDome Rogers Centre, Eaton Centre, Simpson Tower, Scotia Plaza, and TD Tower.

Then, he became the Tinsmith at Black Creek Pioneer Village, hand making the large kettle that hangs off the front balcony greeting visitors to this day. Finally, he spent many years at the TTC before retiring.

Larry mellowed in retirement and further applied himself as a caregiver to an immediate family member. The family expresses gratefulness to the staff of North York General Hospital.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, please consider an in memory donation to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
