Kizner DoreenKIZNER, Doreen (nee SILVER)   - It is with great sadness that the family of Doreen Kizner announces her passing of COVID-19, on Wednesday, January 19, 2022, in Florida, just three days shy of her ninety-first birthday.

Beloved wife of Paul Kizner for sixty-nine years. Devoted mother and mother-in-law of Joel and Ronna, Brian and Diana, Richard and Marla.

Cherished Bubby of Francine Kizner and Evan Schiff, Suzie and Danny Craig, and Michelle Kizner; Jonathan Kizner and Lucy McCoubrey, Tamara Hasanefendic and Karim Raphael, Michael Kizner and Danielle Chafetz; Blair Kizner and James Drobik, and Harley Kizner.

Proud great-grandmother of Noah, Dylan, Margo, Clara, Thomas, Mia, Camilla, Phoebe, Jonah, and Ezra.

Born in Montreal, Doreen was predeceased by her loving parents, Fay-Lena and Jacob Silver.

Dear sister of the late Bill (Sonny) Silver. Doreen was a quiet woman, never one to draw attention to herself, treating everyone with kindness and respect. She loved to play golf, bridge, and a good game of Scrabble.

Doreen was supremely proud of her children, and always found a way to mention them in any conversation. She and Paul had very different yet complementary characters.

Paul is quick to anger (quick to calm down as well) while virtually no one ever saw any sign of that temper in Doreen.

She understood him like no one else did in a way that made them a great match for each other.

Due to COVID-19, funeral service and shiva will be private.

Contributions in Doreen's memory, may be made to the charity of your choice.
