CORONA, Umberto - 91, passed away peacefully at Dorothy Ley Hospice in Etobicoke on January 20, 2022.
Bert was born on July 18, 1930 in Asolo Treviso, Italy and moved to Canada when he was 16 years of age.
Bert worked for the Peel Board Of Education as a master carpenter for over 25 years.
Bert leaves behind his children Lenny Corona and Deanna Maltby, grandchildren Mackenzie and Charlise Corona, Sommer and Connor Maltby, son-in-law Tom Maltby and sister-in-law Yvonne Carraro.
Bert loved going to the Italian club for a game of cards and to talk about the old country.
His passion was his vegetable garden in the summer and making wine and salami in the fall.
There will be no visitation or service.
Bert Corona will be put to rest by his immediate family at Glen Oaks Cemetery.
Bert is at peace now and will always be with us.
