Foord GeorgeFOORD, George Robbins   - July 17, 1930 - January 18, 2022

Devoted and faithful husband of Mary for 62 years, whom he joins once more, three months after her passing in October 2021.

Loving father of Alex (Melanie) and James (Rachel). George spent the summers of his youth in Meaford, Ontario, beside Georgian Bay - a place of frequent mention in the stories that he was known for with cheerful infamy.

His cheer, good nature and penchant for mischief endeared him to all who made his acquaintance, no matter how briefly. Severe lead poisoning as a child didn't stop George – known then as "Robbie"– from playing the French horn or pursuing his passion of music which he later studied at Univeristy of Toronto.

It was there his passions were truly met while earning his teaching degree alongside the woman by whose side he would stand and whose hand he would hold for decades to come, supporting her as her constant companion as she achieved acclaim in watercolour painting in the years following her retirement.

As a man of faith and longtime member of the York Masonic Temple, George held the role of Master in 1976 as well as working alongside Mary at the Order of the Eastern Star for many years.

George exemplified duty and honour, responsibility and caring for his fellow man, all of whom were equal in his eyes. Beloved, missed and remembered, always.
