Ashby WilliamASHBY, William Harold Scrafton  -  With heavy hearts we share the passing of Bill on April 12, 2022, in his 92nd year.

Predeceased by wife, Ann (2008), whom he missed dearly, of almost 50 years.

Adored dad and biggest cheerleader of Bill (Suzanne) and Joanne (Brian).

Loving and proud grandpa of Elisa (Adrian), Graham, and Curtis, and great-grandpa of Mira and Nève.

Loved brother of Bob (late Bev) and Allan (Bonnie).

Bill was proud of his Cabbagetown roots and formed lifelong friendships there. Ann and Bill moved to Scarborough in 1958 and created wonderful memories.

Bill was a 48 year employee of Brewers Warehousing Company.

An avid sports fan and excellent athlete, he was most proud of his decades long career coaching softball and hockey.

He would often say he lived a very happy life and that he was blessed with dear friends and a wonderful extended family.

Thank you to his neighbours who treated him with immeasurable kindness.

Above all, he was sweet, kind, and beloved.

A celebration of life will be held when it is safe to do so.

How lucky we are to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.
