PAQUETTE, Gerald   - With love and admiration for a life well-lived, family announces the peaceful passing of Gerry, a beloved son, brother, husband, father, uncle, grand and great-grandfather, friend.

Gerry was born in Buckingham, Quebec, to parents Ida and Alfred in 1924, and grew up in Timmins, Ontario.

He left us in the stillness of early morning on April 12, 2022.

As a young man, Gerry excelled at many sports and worked as an airframe mechanic to support the war effort. With four children in tow, Gerry and Gisèle moved to Toronto and welcomed two more children.

Gerry co-founded CDA where he enjoyed a long and successful career in advertising. Gerry loved photography, wood carving, big band music and card games, and playing golf and pétanque under the Florida sun.

Predeceased by his loving wife Gisèle (2010), brothers Roger, Paul (Eva) and infant sister Georgette.

Survived by children Denise (Wally), Bob (Sue), Daryl (Shirley), Louise (Rea), Ron (Wendy), Gerry (Wendy). Grandchildren Patricia (Chris), James (Jackie), Sarah (Alan), Ashley (Ian), Jason (Stephanie), Justin. Great-grandchildren Katelyn, Stephen, Charlie, Stella.

Remembered by sister-in-law Muriel, many nieces and nephews.

Family members are grateful to staff for their compassionate care at Sunnybrook Veterans Centre.
