MCKENZIE, Margaret Campbell McPhie (nee BURGOYNE) - Born April 29, 1934, in Glasgow, Scotland.
Died April 15, 2022, in Toronto.
Beloved wife of the late Dr. Robert McKenzie, much loved mother of Donald (Janice), Diane (Sandy) and Deborah, and dear grandmother of Malcolm, Simon and Gillian.
She was a loving sister to the late Wilhelmina Carrick (Stuart), Alex Burgoyne (Megan) and the late Douglas Burgoyne (Celeste), and great-aunt to Ashleigh, Mark, Andrew, Adam, Max, Samantha, Rhys and James.
Our mother enjoyed a long and happy life - first in Glasgow, then in Rheindalen, West Germany, then Gourock, before immigrating to Toronto in April, 1968.
She was a wonderful wife and mother who created a loving home to nurture her family. She was a clever woman, with wide interests in the arts, crafts, cooking and her garden.
She enjoyed her frequent trips back to Scotland, where she kept a second home by the sea for many years. Visitation is at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 22, 2022, at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 2737 Bayview Avenue, North York, M2L 1C5, followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m.
