Simeon MichaelSIMEON, Michael Gabriel  -   It is with deep sorrow that we mourn the passing of Michael G. Simeon, age 92, on April 30, 2022, at Hennick Bridgepoint Hospital, after an eighteen-month battle with pancreatic cancer.

Preceded in death by his cherished wife Mary (nee Rentis), he was the loving father of Nick (Evelyn), Bill (Julie), and Christine (Steve).

He will be greatly missed by his four grandchildren, Keith, Michael, Leah and Chiara, and his beautiful great-grandchild, Anova.

Born in Sveta Petka, Greece, on January 28, 1930, to Gravre and Stavroula Simeon, he had three siblings, Tom (deceased), Peter, and Frieda, as well as many nieces and nephews, all of whom he loved dearly.

He was always a kind and sympathetic person who loved children, gardening and fixing things (for which he earned the moniker "MikeGyver").

He loved hunting and fishing, he was an amateur taxidermist, and, especially in his later years, he loved to hang out with his many friends at the coffee shop or mall and talk in his native tongue of Macedonian.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 5, 2022, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Centre, 50 Overlea Boulevard, Toronto, ON. A Funeral Service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, May 6, 2022, at St. Clement of Ohrid Macedonian Orthodox Cathedral, 76 Overlea Boulevard, Toronto, ON M4H 1C5.

The family wishes to send a special thank you to his personal caregivers from Golden Oak and the staff and volunteers at Hennick Bridgepoint Hospital 9N palliative care for their wonderful kindness and compassion.
