Pawych IrenePAWYCH, Irene (Orysia) (nee IHNATOWYCZ)   -  It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Orysia Pawych, on April 30, 2022, at the age of 88.

Beloved wife of the late George Pawych, Orysia leaves behind her cherished children Dan and Marta, sister-in-law Gloria Ihnatowycz, godsons Ian and George, and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents Leontyna and Ihnat, and her brothers Osyp, Teodozij, Volodymyr, Mykola, Ivan, Orest and Danylo.

We shall never forget her amazing optimism, fortitude, warmth and wit, as well as her beauty and extraordinary sense of style.

With her inimitable, loving presence, Orysia shined as the matriarch of the Ihnatowycz family, and she will remain in our hearts forever.

If desired, donations may be made to Meagan's HUG as part of its Giving Hope to Ukraine initiative (https://meaganshug.crowdchange.ca/3680). The money will go to helping Ukrainian children from the war being treated at Toronto's Hospital for Sick Children. Please include "In Memory of Orysia Pawych" in the Comment box. To make donations by cheque, contact: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Due to COVID, the family is holding a private service, with Interment following.
