Bentley AlanBENTLEY, Alan Raymond   -   November 9, 1943 - April 25, 2022

"If the women don't find you handsome, they should at least find you handy."

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Alan, who died peacefully after a long battle with brain cancer.

Alan was a loving father to Bill and Julia; brother to Randall and Marjorie; and close friend to Geraldine and Pat.

Born in Bolton, England he immigrated to Canada with his family at age 11.

Alan was a devoted family man, who was well read and held strong morals and values.

He was always keen to lend a hand, tool or advice when needed.

A lover of architecture and design and member of the Charles Rennie Mackintosh Society.

Alan will be forever remembered as a selfless individual with a big heart and a penchant for doing the right thing.

A Celebration of Life and Reception will be held by the family at the Humphrey Funeral Home A.W. Miles – Newbigging Chapel, 1403 Bayview Avenue, on Sunday, May 15th. The service will be from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., followed by a reception from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Gord Downie Fund for Brain Cancer Research at https://donate.sunnybrook.ca/gord.
