PEDE, Carmelitana (Carmela) - 1933 - 2022 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother Carmela, on Friday, May 6, 2022.
Predeceased by her husband Michele Pede (2005).
Carmela was born and raised in Montenero Val Cocchiara, Italy. She was very close to her family and enjoyed family gatherings and celebrations.
She regularly attended and participated in activities at Syme 55+ Centre where she had many friends, spending time together over breakfast and a coffee.
She was close to her neighbours and would often sit on her porch enjoying the sunshine and lovely flowers while chatting with family and neighbours.
Gardening, knitting, bowling, listening to music, baking, attending church and nature walks were some of her hobbies. She was very active. Carmela will be sadly missed by her son Giuliano (Mary Anne), daughter Josie (Predeceased Al) and grandson Daniel.
Her siblings Romolo, Romanina (Luigi), Peppino (Germana), Vincenzo (Marina), Lina (Don), as well as many nieces and nephews who adored her. Carmella will be fondly remembered by many family and friends.
She will remain forever in our hearts.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Alzheimer Society would be greatly appreciated.
