Ihnatowycz GloriaIHNATOWYCZ, Gloria   - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Gloria Ihnatowycz on May 8, 2022.

She was 80 years old.

Beloved wife of the late Nick Ihnatowycz, Gloria leaves behind her cherished daughters, Larysa and Roma, as well as many cousins, nephews and nieces – she was "Teta Slavka" to so many.

She was predeceased by her parents, Mykhailo and Maria Iwanischak; sister, Anna Lucy (Jaworsky); and brother, Ivan.

An extraordinary beauty both inside and out, Gloria will be remembered for her warmth, kindness and engaging wit and humour.

With her charming smile and playful, impish laugh, she had an innate ability to put everyone at ease. Adored and admired by so many people – young and old – Gloria will be dearly missed and never forgotten.

The family will receive friends at the Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor St. West on Thursday, May 12th from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Friday, May 13th at 9:00 a.m., followed by interment.

As a refugee and child of war, Gloria was deeply affected by recent events in her homeland of Ukraine.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations made to UNICEF's Ukraine Emergency Fund in her memory.
