HARRIS, Donald George - April 28, 1929 – May 4, 2022
It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Donald George Harris on Wednesday, May 4, 2022.
Beloved husband of Marie (nee Campbell), for almost 68 years. Loving Dad to Bob (Elaine), Brian, Diane (Rod), Jeanne (Carmine), Joe (Joanne), and Ted (Patricia).
Much loved Poppa to 18 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Don was the fifth of eight children born and raised in Hamilton, Ontario, to Wilfred and Leila Harris.
Don was a man of great Faith and had an enthusiasm for life which came across in all he did.
He was an avid gardener, bridge player, and lover of so many sports, including golf (longtime member of Cedarbrae Golf Course), tennis, and was a great fan of the Toronto Blue Jays, and his beloved Notre Dame football team.
Don loved the retail business and had a very distinguished 43 year career with Zellers.
A private funeral has taken place.
