ORLENKO, Alexander   -   With great sadness, we announce the passing of Alex Orlenko.

After a lengthy illness, Alex passed suddenly on May 22, 2022, in hospital.

Beloved husband and father, Alex is survived by his loving wife, Norma MacLellan, daughter Alicia Orlenko (John), and siblings Tamara Klapuschak (Eugene), Val Dragan (Bill), Wally Orlenko, and Henry Orlenko.

Born February 7, 1948, in Charleroi, Belgium, to Michael Orlenko and Lydia (née Witko).

Alex was a hardworking, successful entrepreneur, with an inventive spirit and a creative mind.

Relentless and determined, he was known for saying, "How hard can it be?"

He saw all challenges as opportunities. His charisma and magnetic character made Alex well-loved by all that knew him.

He will be missed by family, friends, and business associates alike.

Alex craved adventure, he was happiest on his boat, exploring the waters of our Great Lakes - Georgian Bay in particular, held his heart. He had a great love of music, photography, and took an avid interest in technology.

Curious and a quick study, Alex loved to learn and committed fully to all his interests.

The war in Ukraine was of grave concern to Alex, and his family would appreciate any donations to an organization of your choice supporting their relief.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
