Nishihama YaekoNISHIHAMA, Yaeko   - It is with great sadness that Muriel and Wayne announce the peaceful passing of their dear Mother, Yaeko, Eleanor (nee Nishi), in her one hundredth year, at St. Josephs Health Centre on June 7, 2022. 

Yaeko was the youngest of nine children born to Unosuke and Kura Nishi in Steveston, B.C.

She moved to Ontario in 1947 and lived most of her life in Toronto. 

Predeceased by her husband, Takashi, and her daughter, Cathy (Jack). 

Yaeko will, also, be missed by her lifelong dear friend, Eiko Kiyonaga, her grandchildren Midori (Mark Hodgson), Emily, David (Corrie) and Laura, her great-grandson, Tadashi, many nieces and nephews in Ontario, B.C. and the U.S., family and friends. 

According to her wishes, her family will celebrate her life - a long life, well-lived.
