PENNY, Samantha Kristen   -  It is with great shock and tremendous sadness that the family of Samantha Kristen Penny, announces her sudden and unexpected death.

Samantha died on June 12, 2022.

Her cause of death has yet to be determined. Samantha was 33 years old. Samantha was born in 1988 in Timmins, Ontario.

She lived in her current city of Markham, Ontario, for most of her life.

Samantha attended Markville Secondary School, and after graduating, went on to work as a nanny and then as the assistant manager and a personal trainer at Curves Markham.

When Samantha had her first child, she decided to become a stay-at-home mom and dedicated her life to raising her 4 beautiful daughters: Ava, 10; Lily, 8; Kendra, 2; and Stella, 6 months.

Samantha shared her children with her partner and the children's father, Michael Bridson.

Samantha and Michael were married in 2016. Although they were separated, they continued to work together to raise their children.

Samantha leaves many family members behind to try to go on without her, including her mother, Wendy Alexander-Penny, her father, Brian Penny and her two sisters, Alyssa Penny (Ben Baylis) and Danielle Penny (Jonathan Quinones). Her nieces, Emma Baylis and Alexandra Baylis, will also miss Samantha greatly. Samantha is also survived by her grandmother Gloria Alexander of Sudbury, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral will be held at Dixon-Garland Funeral Home, Markham, ON, Tuesday, June 21st, Visitation Times: 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, June 22nd, Funeral at 11 a.m., followed by a Reception at the funeral home. Internment in Markham, ON.

In lieu of flowers, donations to The Hospital for Sick Children, https://www.sickkids.ca/en/support-sickkids/donate/ and the 105 Gibson Centre (Food Bank), https://105gibson.com/donate/, will be greatly appreciated.
