COHEN, Leah  -  On Monday, June 20, 2022, at 7:26 a.m., the Cohen family of Toronto, lost their pride and joy, their matriarch, their "Bubbs", Leah Cohen.

Leah was born in Toronto, on October 14, 1943, and passed away at the age of seventy-eight.

The daughter of immigrants from Poland and Czechoslovakia (Annie and Joseph Hample), Leah spent her early childhood in Kensington Market with her sisters Evelyn and Sandra, but called Thornhill her home for the majority of her life.

Leah had great pride in her Jewish identity, and was deeply connected to many aspects of Jewish community throughout her life.

Leah was a dedicated career employee with General Motors Accounting Corporation as a customer service representative. Leah was one of a kind - a flamboyant, deeply loving, always humorous person. She regularly used words like "divine", "fabulous" along with a plethora of Yiddish words.

Leah loved intensely, remembering every birthday, anniversary and other significant life event.

She had a magnetic personality and was adored by all who knew her.

Leah will "always and forever" be missed by her daughter, Brenda Cohen, her son, Michael Cohen, her niece, Sharyl Cohen and husband, Lorne, nephew, Garrett Green and wife, Roxy.

The special bond she had with her grandchildren, Shayne and Dylan Cohen was the light of all of their lives and she will be fondly remembered always.
