Opekan MarionOPEKAN, Marion (nee WITUSHYNSKI)    -  October 12, 1923 - June 27, 2022

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Marion Opekan, at Sts. Peter and Paul Residence, on June 27th, in her 99th year.

Predeceased by her adored daughter, Judy Ann, she is survived by her beloved son, Brian.

Marion will be missed by her sister, Jennie Rudyk (sisters predeceased – Mary Obal, Anne Stephens and Julia Tutkaluk), and by her many nieces and nephews, grand and great-grandnieces and nephews, who will fondly remember holidays on the farm in Niagara, her delicious pyrohy and the most amazing peach pies and strawberry shortcakes.

Marion was a strong-willed woman devoting her life to her son, Brian.

She now joins the missing part of her heart – Judy.

Our heartfelt thanks to all the staff on the Assisted Living Wing at Sts. Peter and Paul for their years of compassionate care and especially in her final days.

Resting at the Cardinal Funeral Home, 92 Annette St., Toronto, on Saturday, July 2nd, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. followed by a Funeral Service in the Chapel at 12:30 p.m. Interment, Thornhill. Luncheon to follow.

Rest peacefully now Aunt Marion.

Vichnaya Pamyat.
