JUSTASON, Barbara Ann (nee HUMPHRIS)   -  Barbara passed away at Princess Margaret Hospital on Saturday June 25, 2022 at the age of 87.

She was predeceased by her brother Peter Humphris and is survived by her brother Kenneth, and his wife Janice Humphris, and their families.

Barb will be missed by her dearest friend, Robin Hellendoorn.

Barb spent many years working at The Ontario Human Rights Commission and, at the age of 54, began her training at The Centre for Training in Psychotherapy to become a psychotherapist.

Psychotherapy was her passion and she worked right up until she became ill at 86 years old.

Barb rode horses when she was young, taught herself to ski, became a ski instructor, taught herself to windsurf at age 50, played golf and loved being part of the Ladies Golf Club, where she also played bridge and was able to do so right up to the week of her death.

In addition to this, Barbara was an Astrologer. She wrote an astrology book which was published in three languages. She was part of a CBC television show, Beyond Reason, in the '70s, had an astrology call-in show on CHFI and was an interviewer on a cable channel where she got to interview Buckminster Fuller.

Friends will be received at the Humphrey Funeral Home A.W. Miles , 1403 Bayview Avenue, from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 9th. The Memorial to honour her life will be held in the chapel at 1:00 p.m. and will be followed by a reception.

As Barbara was a huge champion of Women's Rights, donations in lieu of flowers can be made to the Canadian Women's Foundation, https://secure2.convio.net/cadwf/site/Donation2?df_id=2444&2444.donation=form1&mfc_pref=T.
