PLAINCHEK, Maria (nee Sitar) - December 8, 1921 - June 28, 2022
Maria passed away peacefully in her 101st year at Dom Lipa.
She is predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Charles.
Maria was a kind and generous soul who had a wonderfully warm (and sometimes mischievous) sense of humour.
She accepted whatever life threw at her with stoicism and grace.
She is survived by siblings, Julia, Angela, Luciana, and Franz; and predeceased by Stanko, Carlos, Louise, Milka, and Anna.
She will be sorely missed by her many nieces and nephews, and their families.
A graveside service will be held in the chapel of the Mausoleum at Holy Cross Cemetery on Monday, July 4, 2022, at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the CNIB are appreciated.
